老師問學生：「誰可以舉例出『E』開頭的動物名稱？」
一位小屁孩答：「大象(Elephant)!」
老師心想：「嗯，孺子可教也。」
繼續問：「那『T』開頭的動物呢？」
同一個小屁孩答：「兩隻大象（Two Elephants）!」
老師心想：「這小屁孩是不是來亂的。」
老師於是叫這位搗蛋的小屁孩到教室外罰站。
後繼續向全班問：「『M』開頭的動物呢？」
突然門外的小屁孩高聲大喊：「可能是一隻大象(Maybe an elephant)!」
老師：「...」

The class teacher asks students to name an animal that begins with an “E”. One boy says,“Elephant.”

Then the teacher asks for an animal that begins with a “T”. The same boy says, “Two elephants.”

The teacher sends the boy out of the class for bad behavior. After that she asks for an animal beginning with “M”.

The boy shouts from the other side of the wall: “Maybe an elephant!”
